Land Registration in Rwanda
Land registration is a cornerstone of Rwanda's land governance system, now governed by Law N° 27/2021 of 10/06/2021 governing land in Rwanda, which replaced earlier legislation.

The Registration Process
1. Application submission at the sector level
Registrars of land titles include the Chief Registrar, Deputy Chief Registrar, and registrars at territorial locations, as governed by Prime Minister's Order of 2022.
Land Dispute Resolution
Regulated by Article 73 of Law N° 27/2021 and Ministerial Order No 004/MOE/22 of 15/02/2022 determining modalities and procedures for resolution of land disputes.
Important Statistics
Rwanda's Land Tenure Regularization Program (LTRP) has registered over 10.3 million parcels since 2009, making it one of Africa's most comprehensive land registration systems.
